My dad back in the day with his zebra striped top LC. He's posing here with a Honda 70cc mini bike he won at a work raffle. He strapped it to the front bumper to drive it home from work.

He would often drive my mom's car to work, and leave her to drive the LC for the kids carpool. A long time ago, my mom shared a car pool memory with me that I thought you all would find amusing. I was always (still am) the kid who liked to push every button. One morning on our way to grade school while my mom was on carpool duty, and with a Land Cruiser full of kids, I started to tinker with the fire extinguisher (you can see where this is going). Somehow, I figured out to get it to work, and we ended up with half a car load of kids covered in fire suppressant powder. Needless to say, my mom did not drive the LC much after that.

Unfortunately, my dad sold the Land Cruiser...what I wouldn't give to have that baby.

The PO of my FJ45 is in a bad way with deteriorating health. His daughter has been cleaning out his house in preparation for sale and has been sending me some photos of the truck from back in the day so I thought I should post them here!

Here is the only picture I got of the 1970 FJ40 I bought from the original owner in 2011. He had early Alzheimer's and I know he past away in 2015. Found interesting neither of his sons were interested in it.

He is how it looked when I bought it in 2011.

Sure, I can spot some LCs.

However, I' m not so sure if the green stuff that is carrying the gentleman in the middle is Khat (Yemen's chewing "stuff" of preference)?
