FJ40 at Truck Wholesale

For those of you that ever drive down I-35 south of Wellsville Ks. I’m sure you have seen the truck salvage yard. And that all of the old trucks are being taken away, but today on my way back from Emporia I saw a FJ40 sitting along the fence at the north end of the yard. I don’t know enough about 40s yet, and I didn’t stop, so I don’t know what year it is, or what kind of shape it is. Has anyone else seen it or called on it? I was thinking about it, but when I did a search for the name of the place I see that the owner seems to be in the middle of a lawsuit with the state and is being forced to shut down. I don’t know who is in control of the inventory there.

the big truck salvage yard!...went in there several times years ago to find parts for my dump trucks....really cool old guy..."go 6 rows over ...3 trucks down...it has what you need"...always had to bring your own tools and cash!...just wander in someone will be around...but take cash!...he has been fightin with the goberment for a long time!

I believe the government took over and is in the process of shutting the place down.

The name of the place is Truck Wholesale Inc. From the article I read, it looks like KDOT took over the place and is removing all of the scrap, but it looks as though they put the fj aside on purpose.
