A friend has just purchased 58FJ28-2080
It's all original and in amazing condition!
The plan is to keep it original but serviceable.
I intend to assist him with the process of repair.
The Asahi Wiper Motors and Master Cylinders are missing as are some Tools from the Tool Roll. Hammer, Pliers, Wrench, 3" Screwdriver, Grease Gun and Operation Manual.
any of these available for Sale?

Most, most excellent. Great to hear of another 28. Can potentially set you up with some tools. Will post again if I can.

This is the tool page from a Nov 1957 FJ28 parts catalog. A few notes on the above mentioned tools:

The pliers would be 200mm with the nested triangle grips.
The hammer is likely Maruki with the "1 lb" forge rather than "1 #".
The 250mm "monkey" wrench would actually be forged "10 Inch Angle Wrench"
I've never seen the screwdrivers as depicted in the photos. Might just be an artist's rendition, slightly different than what was actually produced.

Would love to see good photos of the tools that are in the roll now if it can be arranged.

It would be most interesting to see pics of the original surviving tool roll, tools, and their markings. There is great value in knowing if the tools shared the same features as their early 60’s descendants. Could some photos be arranged of the tools (and the truck of course).
