Didn't want to post on it over there. You sure it's a 25 rear, or just a centered 40 rear? If it's a 40 rear, the only thingof value to us is the spare shafts. ;)

Are we even sure the axle shafts are the same? With the skinny brake drums on the FJ25 the axle shafts might not be as long. I would hate to have someone convert to FJ40 brakes and find out the axles are to short to have the C clips fit. I doubt anybody who doesn't have a FJ25 is going to want their brakes. If someone has a 1963 FJ40 parts book or michro fishe we could compare part numbers.

Centered 40 shafts will fit a 25 housing, BUT you would have to use a 40 drum (or modify a 25 drum) (or turn down the "hub") to fit the 40 shaft....The litlle raised "hub" area in the outside center of the 40 flange is Larger than those of the 25 ilk....

It is an FJ 25 housing and axles.

If the shafts are a desired item for the purist, I want to put them in the right person's hands.

I bought the housing and shafts about eight years ago for a NP 205 application on my FJ40 and then went 1 ton.

They are sitting in the shop, collecting dust.
