FJ tire carrier on a GX?

Curious if anyone simply bolted the FJ tire carrier to the GX door? These can be had for a reasonable price compared to what's available aftermarket. It's a simple 4 bolts that hold it on. Internal reinforcement of the door would not be hard if the holes land in reasonable places.

I doubt it. The door isn’t all that strong and I think you’d be looking for a new one before too long.

Agreed with @rommelrommel. If I remember correctly, ACC Garage went through a real lengthy prototyping and design phase before releasing the Becky - specifically to solve the problem of not tearing the sheet metal of the door both where the carrier mounts and over on the hinges.
