Wow

Very cool Jason, what the hell is ACD? Is it a breed of dog?

In that latest pic, it looks as if you have a big bird on your arm like the animal show performers at the zoo! :D

He just looks photochopped around his edges..... that's all I"m sayin!

Yeah. ...

Did I Mention that this is an idea whose time has passed?

No way, man. Stop being a :princess: :flipoff2:

Toyota missed out big time in not making a 60-series pickup truck. Jason's FJ62 is one of the coolest around, and making it a double cab pickup like his Photochop above would be even cooler. DO IT!

bastid:) she sits in the front seat, her head is the same height that a humans would be. when following behind my wifes car it looks like a human with bat ears sitting next to her.
yes it is a breed of dog, Australian Cattle dog, also know as blue heelers, red heelers, Queeny's, cattle dogs.
not to be confussed with its american counterpart the Australian shepard of which they share no relation. a typical full grow ACD is 25-50lb and make excellent cruiser dogs. there one major draw back is that they are extremely smart and have alot of energy and if left untrained and unentertained can drive you mad. its unfortunate but a large number of puppies bought end up being turned into shelters because they are too much to handle for most. But they are extremely loyal and can be stubornly overprotective of their people(herd). there was a story out of Florida last year where an elderly woman was walking outside of her family's house along a golf course with her sons family's ACD when she fell along side a pond and could not get up she was down for a couple of hours and the dog stayed by her side the hole time until the womens son found her. she said at one point she heard the dog barking and a bunch of rustling going on next to her. on examination of the dog they found bite marks consistent with an alligator. If you ever saw the movie Mad Max he had one. here is a good site that has some good pics of them. also has some links to there resque league .

Don't worry, your parade is not getting damp.

I like heelers, tho'.

If you mod your 60 like the first picture in this thread you will hurt your right elbow the first time you go to back-up because you will hit it on the cab/glass when you turn around to look out the back window.

Boston Mangler, I like the idea, I think I need an other FJ60 to cut up. I'm going with the reg cab set up primarily because it will leave more room for a bed without having to stretch the frame(hopefully, if it comes to that I could probably pull it off). It will be tight, I'm guessing a little roomier than a FJ45 truck, plus it won't be my daily driver.
Yooper, those are some great pics, the top one is roughly what I'm after, only with the seperate bed. I also dig the bottom one, very nice body work; 60 series look really cool in gray.
HZJ60 Guy, I'm glad you approve.
Thanks all for the comments and sugestions.

No offence meant Gus, I just think they look horrible.

Go for it if you want.

And good luck.

bwhahaha good one...

Wow, thanks for all the responces, I really appreciate everyones input, favorable and not so much. I plan on cutting the rig right behind the B pillar(the body is fairly rough behind the front doors so a double cab would be pretty tough), fusing as much of the tail of the body(rear window, D pillars, roof panel, etc) into the front of the cab, fabricating quite a bit of the sheet metal (door jambs, lower cab corners, reinforce the cab, etc.) and steeling some panels from domestic trucks(rear cab panel, area behind the seats). Realistically I'll probably only complete the cab at first so the bed will have to wait a bit; a flat bed will mostly likely reside behind the cab for a while until the bed is completed. I intend to have this thing look like it left the factory as a truck, it'll be fun as all hell, plus I've got some very knowledgeable people to help out if need be. Way down the road, this rig will get a diesel(most likely a 6.5 GM as it's easiest to install it seems, but ideally an 12v Cummins 5.9L), a NV4500, most likely a dana 60 front end and 60/70 or 14 bolt rearend. I'm still up in the air about which t-case I'm going to run. This is certainly an ambitious and slighty unique undertaking (that's exactly why I'm going to build it); if it was going to be easy what fun would that be. Thanks again to everyone who replied.
