So I have some play in my rear prop, I'm assuming it's the UJs, taking it off tomorrow to have a look. If it is, do I need a press to get new ones in or is it a relatively simple fix?

I used my vise to put them in.

The best thing I have used is a sturdy vise to hold the shaft and a balljoint press to install the joint. Well worth the money from Harbor Freight/Amazon or the UK equivalent.

I just want to chime in about the joints themselves. I recently replaced mine and want to share my experience. I purchased good quality aftermarket joints. After about a month of wheeling and street use, I noticed that there was a little play in the joints. After disassembly I found that the clips that hold the bearing cups in place were thinner than OEM which allowed them to move slightly in the flange. This in turn allowed the cross to develop movement side to side in the cups. It is my understanding that there should be zero movement or play as this will cause a vibration. I replaced them with Toyota joints and have zero play or movement after extensive wheeling and hundreds of road miles. The OEM joints are ridiculously priced, but seem to fit better and will probably last close to forever. Good luck with your replacement, it's not to hard, just not much fun;).
