I am going to take a trip this weekend to go look at what might be my first 80 Series. It's a 1997 Lexus LX450 with 240,00 miles. I am new to land cruisers but I have been researching them for a good year or two now in hopes to own one. reading through the forum a little I know I need to look for leaking oil and diffs along with the normal red flags of purchasing a used vehicle.
What are the not so obvious RED FLAGS that only a veteran LC owner would know about?
This will not be a daily driver and but will be used off road. I don't plan on beating the crap out of it or doing any insane modifications but I do want to enjoy it if that makes sense? I can turn a wrench and I am real good at watching videos to figure stuff out but I am by no means a mechanic.
So tell me all the things you wish you would have looked at before your first LC purchase!
