We finally had a showing on the house Monday. Been on the market just over a month with no showings what so ever :frown:. We got a call about 9:30 Monday asking if we could show the house at noon. 'Bout 3:00 our agent called back and said they had made an other that was within $1000 of what we were hoping for and the only things the buyers asked is that we not fill in the pond in the back yard and if we would leave the hanging pot-rack in the kitchen. I was planning on hauling 3 loads on dirt and at least one load of rock then busting my butt for the next two days to finish the landscaping in the back yard. I'd also expected to have to paint the burgandy and tan wall in the living room and Holley's 3-tone blue bedroom....... but none of this was mentioned :).

Looks like we'll be closing June 26th or maybe a little sooner and be in Texas, just in time for the July heat . Debi is scheduled to be in The Woodlands on June 25th, so it looks like we'll be living in a travel trailer for a little while, while be try to buy a house..........

Good luck to you guys. Maybe we can say hello when I am in Texas to see my daughter. She lives an hour away from the woodlands. Peggy and Mike

Thanks folks! It's gonna be a big change for us but we're excited

Swing by any time Peggy. Bring the mini and we'll head over to Spring Creek ORP (about 30 minutes away) and do some wheeling.

Man, 30 minutes to go wheelin'....... I won't know wht to do :D

Congrats on the house sale, Mike!
Our house closed last Friday. Took a bit longer for ours tho. It had been on the market since last October.

Unfortunately, the project that I was working on here in Dallas was abruptly shut down at the end of April. :frown: However, it worked out ok as I was able to find a new, more permanent position here in Dallas. An added benefit is that my office is only a five minute drive from home.

Give me a shout when you're coming through big D. Maybe we can get together for a cold one.
