fender mirrors

Howdy

Has anyone seen fender mirrors for an FJ60? I think that I remember seeing a picture once but I can't remember where it was other than someplace on the web, which really narrows it down. I'd love to get rid of the useless OEM mirrors.

If you can't find the fender mirrors, I'd look into some 62 mirrors for your 60. They seem like a decent enough upgrade.

Yeah, that is a definite possibility since the supply seems pretty good. It is just that I had an MG years ago that had fender mirrors and it was nice not to have to move my head too much to be able to see behind on both sides of the car.

For sure the electric mirrors will cost you many $$$'s

best bet for either will be MOT or JAPAN4X4 also on this board.

$OR is correct. Mighty steep if you ask me... compared to the oem 62 mirrors...

? does any one know if you need some kind of metal place under the fender where these bolt to?

Thanks for all the replies. I would really like a set of manual ones like to ones on the white 60 above. Those are what I saw before but I didn't know where to get a pair. You are right about the $OR.

Thanks for contacting me! (Just stumbled across this thread.)

According to Toyota I still can get the fender mirrors pictured/posted above by hks.

I usually don't get things unless/until they're paid for once, but I'm going to try to order a pair tomorrow, with the mounting spacers/gaskets tomorrow and maybe post a pic or two after receiving them.

BTW, cruiser 88, thanks for the referral. I really appreciate it!

The mirror and the arm are fairly light so I do not think there is any reinforcement (necessary), but I've never seen it in person so what do I know?

Those mirrors are mine. I can't wait for them to show up and get them installed. I'll post any problems I run into if any issues during the mounting.
