I have been thinking about going to a 100-series, and wanted to post my truck here to see if there was any interest in a trade of some form. We are planning more family trips, so something a little roomier would be nice. Ideally I am looking for something along these lines:
2003-2004 Land Cruiser or LX470
Stock, but will consider some mods such as armor, dual batteries, drawers, etc.
lighter color
No AHC
No NAV (did these come without this?)
Good maintenance with records (including timing belt a plus)
will also consider a nice 2001-2002 if priced right and is in great condition. Ditto for the 1998-1999 if priced even better and greater condition.
Please see my build thread linked in my signature for details on my truck.
PLEASE DO NOT CLUTTER UP THE BUILD THREAD with questions regarding trade details. Please post those here.
May also consider selling outright, but would prefer a trade as I don't want to be without a cruiser, again...
Pretty much everything but the roof rack and the second ham radio would be included, however I would like to keep the tires if a swap is possible.
1997 Land Cruiser Collector's Edition
Black / Tan
Factory Lockers
159xxx miles
Slee part time kit (original parts included)
Sean Rear Bumper with tire carrier/ fuel can basket
Hanna Quality sliders
Slee xfer case skid
Dual Batteries (AGM)
Toyota 2.2kW starter (rebuilt)
Toyota 150A alternator with Photoman bracket
Toyo AT2 Extreme 295/75R16
Yaesu FT-8800R ham radio
Uniden CB
Lockable cargo chest
OME 850 / 863 suspension (Slee SOF2RF currently installed, both sets of rear springs included)
Caster plates (Landtank I think)
Adjustable panhard rod
Swaybar drop brackets
Extended brake lines
Engine wiring harness wrapped with heat resistant material by EGR
Blue Sea power distribution
Significant Maintenance:
Head Gasket done
PHH recent
New rear brakes (new OEM rotors and pads)
Front axle rebuild by PO.
New belts, hoses, thermostat, coolant flush, etc recent
Probably more that I am forgetting
I also have a folder full of receipts from myself and previous owner.
Issues:
The fuel can basket was bumped in a very minor collision (~5mph), and tweaked the DS spindle a tad and pushed the basket in a little. It did barely contact the rear hatch, cracking the emblem and causing a small crease. Really hard to show in pictures. The basket swingout still works, but it's not smooth and the bearings are probably broken. The rest of the bumper is undamaged.
Front wheel bearings could be a hair tighter. My mechanic said it wasn't worth the effort to do it right away, just wait until the next brake job.
