Don't watch many cooking shows but I do enjoy listening to the "BBQ Central Radio Show" with Greg Rempe at work.

The Julia Child/Jacque Pepin show was the best.
It was.
I had alot of fun on Saturday mornings as a kid, hanging out with the old man and watching that very show, The Frugal Gourmet, and New Yankee Workshop.

My son and I watched all those and the Wood Wrights shop.
We recorded them and watched them on Saturday evening.

It must have had a lasting impression because he is a better than average cook and is very skilled at wood working.

Hey anybody mention Yan Can Cook yet?

I thought I did, but I guess not.
Martin Yan was my first encounter with world cuisine!
Though, his counting his slices always bothered me.

More than Rachel Ray saying "EVOO, extra virgin olive oil" ?
If your going to say it all out every time why bother with the initialism?

I still use Martin Yans method for cutting up chicken, it takes about a minute or less to portion up a whole bird.

Good gravy, I'd blocked that woman from my mind until now!
Everything she does is obnoxious!

I think I should look up that method, I love learning new food-related things.

The Worst cooking show is so pathetic. My kids cook better than those morons. I hate R. Ray... she bugs the heck out of me.

Likes: Julia Child, Alton Brown, and Anthony Bourdain...

I think The Worst Cooks show is so terrible, it can't not be funny.
Vanilla chicken? Really?
I watch that show to feel better about my slightly above mediocre knife skills.

Ever notice how the whiners are the first to go on worst cooks? I don't think Anne Burrell likes whining, she seems like the kick ass and take names kind of gal.

I pretty much switch it to Food Network and bust the knob off. I do however agree that it was much better TV when it had more educational programing. But i am NOT paying the price dish want's for me to add the Cooking Channel. I would have to move to the next package up the line. Providers would make so much more by having channels be à la carte.
