SOLD Fan shroud - late FJ40, 2F with clutch

Hey guys, need a fan shroud from a late FJ40, 2F with a clutched fan. I'm using a new Aisin FNT022 fan blade: the one from the FJ60s with the perpendicular dealies on each blade.

I'm not entirely sure which years a fitting fan shroud will come from so maybe somebody can help narrow it down (or just sell me a compatible one). My research shows these P/Ns:

- 16711-61090 for 08/1976-01/1979
- 16711-61091 for 01/1979-07/1980
- 16711-61080 for 01/1979-07/1980 w/cooler

...whatever bolts up to my FJ40 radiator and clears the FJ60 fan blade will make me happy. Not looking to do any shroud cutting or fan blade trimming.

i would take a SOLID look at this link below ,

i thought i had a good pre-owned shroud for you , but it's long gone ,

before i went digging in my climate controlled NOS outbuilding #2 , i had no idea what a fair comp. was to compare to ?


i happened upon this ...

if i needed a late modle fan shroud anything 40 series , i would absolutely consider this one to purchase ,

all the bent JUNK i came across , while looking for fair market value , were simply close in price to this NOS one ...

i have NO affiliation with this seller , ...fyi

this seller in LINK has the Direct Drive water pump / 16731-61031 OD=430 , 8 BLADES FAN

i don't understand the why difference in the OD=430 7 blades w/ fan clutch option difference ?

i wonder IF there is NO difference , the OD of fan is same , to what IS the difference ?

ONLY POSSIBLE detail would be HOW DEEP front to back the shroud is i think ?

i personally consider the asking price shipped to my door , extremely TOO-FAIR

Nice, thanks! So by the profile pics of the different fan blades and a few threads I've been reading (late now, I'll add sources tomorrow) this is what's going through my head (please, correct any inaccuracies):

0. I think with the perpendicular dealies I have the 460mm OD fan.

1. I know it says FJ40, but I swear I saw somewhere that the B engine came with the 8-blade and no clutch?

2. Saw one poster say that they were using the Aisin FJ60 blade with an FJ40 2F shroud and it worked fine, so I'm guessing that the 430mm shroud works fine with the 460mm fan but the clearance is smaller?

this is not in view so i copy and paste :

1/75-10/85 2F engines had Direct Drive FAN options , in certain destination markets , USA Direct Drive Fans ended in middle 1976 FJ40 ,

however

&

BUT :

FJ55 1/75-8/80 USA Spec. ALWAYS had a direct drive 2F fan , NEVER had a fan clutch option in any way ......

so there are some interesting variations globally

my 1983 FJ43L-KC South American Spec. 2F has a direct drive water pump factory original set up , i have no clue how many fan blades it has ........?

never counted them , but it IS a white plastic fan for sure , NOT metal

Ah yeah, that's what I was reading: FJ55, not B engine, has the direct-drive fan with 8 blades. I think it was in an FJ60 sticky. Thanks
