I'm looking into running a Flex-A-Lite fan, but i need to know which one to get. I'm running a 1992 Toyota 4Runner with a 3VZE. Let me know what you all think will work good for me!
Thank's.

How long is a piece of string?:o Not enough info, do you intend to keep/run the A/C? What climate will it be operated in?

Unless the climate is mild, loads low, my guess is most of the aftermarket fans wont be enough. For an electric, repurposing another factory tan would be better. Some have used Ford Taurus fans with mixed results.

IMHO, a good, powerful, reliable cooling system is critical. Electric will never be as reliable or powerful as a clutch system can be, so don't run them unless I have to.

I'd also like to hear why you think an electric fan is necessary, and why the OEM setup won't keep up.

Certainly not all, but a lot of electric fan setups eventually get removed and put back to stock.

I recently changed the silicon oil in my '95 4runner's fan clutch. It was needing it. It stays cool now. No overheating issues anymore. There is a link to an article on how to do it in the FAQ thread. Nice thing is the silicon oil can be gotten from any RC car handling hobby shop for $10 to $20. The main issue is removing the screws holding the halves of the fan clutch together.
