We were just up that way over the T-giving holiday. Headed up toward Ukiah via the back artery road from Sumpter through Granite. Then onto LaGrande, Enterprise, up and over into Lewiston and Missoula. Nice quiet country. :)

Bull, Great pics. Sure don't get photo opps like that in GA. Questions: What is it like driving a RHD vs LHD in general? How do you like the diesel motor vs a 2F? Is the diesel slow vs the 2F, not that any cruiser is a speed demon? Has it been determined that there were no LHD Troopies made, can't remember what that thread said, but I do remember reading it? Thanks

LHD troopies were made. They are found in Central/ South America and other places.

The diesels are great. Lots of torque but a little slower than a 2F at take off. Once you get em' going, they are fine. Once you go diesel, you'll never go back...... at least I never did.

I enjoyed driving my RHD 45 pickup but it annoyed me after awhile. I drove mine for about 2 years as a daily driver. It was fun at first and you definitely get a lot of looks. But, after awhile, the RHD started to bother me. I would have another one, but not as a daily driver. HTH's

Thanks Grease Cruiser for you opinions. I guess not too many people have been able to find LHD Troopies bc you just don't see them. I would like a Troopy but it would need to be LHD and petrol for me. I have had diesels as well, but unless they are modern day turbo's they are not for me.

RHD are a kick to drive and very easy (at least for me) to get used to----however seming how the US is set up for LHD it does get a little annoying having one for an everyday driver. I remember going through a drive through some where by myself and having to climb over the passenger seat to get my items. As for Gas vs Diesel—I am diesel all the way—I am slowly converting everything gas to diesel. For me having the option witht older diesel engines to run four different types of fuels with little to no modification is a lot better than being stuck to one fuel---especially with prices today. In addition most diesel engines will outlive their owners.

Back to Bull’s photos---I am really looking forward to making my final move out to OR---and seeing photos like the ones posted by Bull shows why the northwest is such a great place to go play. Keep up with the photo taking Bull!

The little ones hop in and out no problem. The car seat takes a little to get it in and out, but I go from the back and makes it easy.

The kids love the seat. They sit up high and can see out. I also had 8 adults in it this past weekend. It was hard for them to get in the seat, but it wasn't made for them ;)

so how bout the 2h vs the 2f? i'm looking at a 2h and a 1hz for the lv and am leaning toward the 2h cuz it's closer and cheaper. i know you have the 4 speed and 35's. what kind of highway speeds are you gettin to? would you be alot better off with and overdrive?

is that "max out" as in that's as fast as the engine will take you with your gearing setup, or "max out" as in that's as fast as you're willing to go. i'm planning on 33's with overdrive and 4.11's and wanted to know if going to 3.73's would be better suited or a waste of time.
