Right on guys!

@tomcrusr has previously posted that he installed the Pioneer MVHX-560BT in his stock location without cutting the dash by not using the standard housing the radio came with. I may give it a try. In addition to the stock radio, I also have the Pyle PLR14MPF which fits in the stock dash opening. Unfortunately, it lives up to its name. It is definitely a pile; dead spots in the volume control, USB doesn't work with iPhone, tuner is crap, etc. I only paid $17 for it though, so I guess I can't complain. It does look at home in the dash though.

I'll just keep the original radio in case I ever want to make everything stock again.

Yes, without the mounting bracket the MVHX-560BT slides into the hole perfectly. There were two metal straps with holes in them that had held in my factory radio and I just used those to secure it in place. It is such a close fit that no trim is needed. I kept my factory radio too, though I doubt I will ever use it. If I get ambitious some day I might try retrofitting it to have modern electronics in the old case, but I am liking having BT for music and phone and I do (still) like the fairly plain-jane look of the Pioneer. I also like that I have wide control over the colors of it's lighting so I can make it match the pale green glow of the original dash lights.
