Factory Part-time Transfer Case?

I'm looking at a 1995 80 series diesel truck that appears to have a factory part-time transfer case behind a A442F automatic transmission.. It has Aisin hubs that look original. On the dash, it has a H4 button. I am not aware that a part-time option was available from the factory. Can anyone confirm that is setup is OEM vs an aftermarket conversion.
