Factory heater in HJ47

Apologies if I posted in the wrong thread.

My recently acquired troopy has a vent/heater/defrost box below the factory radio and there is also a heater box that has a lever that moves between "WARM COOL" on it. Both boxes are marked "NIPPONDENSO."

Does anyone else have this set up? Can you attach an AC system to it?

An ac system is a complete stand alone system from the heater box. Toyota did offer an ac system and the unit was under the passenger front dash area. Some pictures would be great,if you want ac, just take the top off!!

I have that set up as well in my 80hj47. I too am looking for an account unit and can it be done?

Mine looks the same. I was told my A/C was a dealer fitted accessory, not factory. It is not running (needs to be re-gassed, and a fan belt) but i understand the A/C feeds straight into the heater / vent box. Mine is a troopy but i don't have a rear heater.
