I am looking at buying an F motor for some of the accessories on it.It has a Weber carb(redline),intake, and headers on it.Also a D.U.I electronic distributor with coil. What are the opinions on these items.I would really like to use the headers and have an electronic ignition system to start. Also what about the carb and intake. Are they worth swapping out the stock parts. The donor motor is a 72 and my LC is a 71 Thanks for any input.

I would not swap an Aisin carb for any weber. DUI might be nice, Id prefer a fully electronic FJ60 dizzy though. Used headers might be a short-term fix, I'd rather save up for new headers and do the job one less time. It's always nice to have spare parts though, I'd take the block for the intake manifold, crank, con-rods,head, and all the nuts bolts & washers you can strip off of it before you take the block to the recyclers...

I have an F engine in a pig with a weber, headers, electronic ignition, and wide runner manifold. I tried a lot of jet combos, but all I could figure is the venturis are too big on the weber. The carb works good at angles and starts well, but I'd be happy to trade it for a nice Aisin.

I am very happy with the seal of my Man a fre headers, with no leaks. But try to put them on another engine and forget about that.

DUIs are sweet also.
