F flywheel on a 2F?

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Haven't done any research yet though. I figure the torque gained from the massive F flywheel would be worth losing a few hp. The bellhousing will bolt up, no problem.

Run the F carb on the 2F as well. No linkage issues then, and much simpler carb. If you've read the other threads on 2F carbs, you've noticed they have issues with the secondaries you can avoid by using the older carb. My .02

I wonder the amount of torque gain/ horsepower loss you would see?

Most people probably would not be able to notice the slight difference, if any, because of the larger tires and lack of diff. gear...

Good luck!

Do you also use the F intake manifold or does the F carb bolt straight on to the 2F?

I think the manifolds will interchange. Just take off that silly oil filter and bracket.

The studs/bolts that attach the manifold on the 2F are larger. SOR offers a ' step down stud ' which will allow you to use your F manifolds on the 2F without needing to grind out the openings in the intake and exhaust manifolds...

Good luck!
