I hardwired mine on the driver's side under the hood. Not hard at all. Love this compressor. I've also seen people use 35mm film canister for a chuck cover, and Kilby sells the real deal ones for a few bucks each....

Tractor Supply also has the chuck covers. Got all my hose/barbs, etc at MSC, and Extremeaire for all the other stuff.

Thanks for all the information, greatly appreciated.

I am still deciding whether to spend some more for the York set-up. The bracket is my main problem with the York, I cant find one anywhere. Most shops want $300-400 to fabricate me a bracket, a new 10.5 CFM york compressor runs $300-$350, plus the additional costs of all the fittings, tank, lines etc.... I would probably be close to $1000k to install a new york system. I figured the cost for an electric system (max air/exteme air/fittings/tank) would run around $600. I might just opt to spend the additional money for the York set-up. I could also take $200 of the York price buy scrapping a used compressor from a junkyard, but up to this point I have not taken any shortcuts by not going with the best set-up for my needs. My gut feeling is to spend the additional $400 and go with a new York compressor. I will say the Extreme Air hands down for the $$$ looks like one of the best electric compressor available.

Thanks again for all your feedback.

Look to Mudrak.com for the bracket if you're running a 2F.

Seems a little high, unless you are going to pay someone to do all the work and buy all new parts that are gold plated.

I have about $70 in my York system and about 8 hr of labor installing it.
