Sorry maybe you've already answered this but I'm trying to figure out how you used the input shaft from the toyota tranny with the flywheel/pilot bearing of the mercedes? also what set up did you use for the clutch and pressure plate? thanks
 
ok, now I see that, but wouldn't drilling into your toyota flywheel substantially weaken it... Plus you're talking about a huge mercedes starter compared to a 22r starter...even if it does have gear reduction in it, it would still burn out or not have enough crank, right?
 
the flywheel would get drilled at a machine shop
the starter works a-ok
and i dont think thats a toyota pilot bearing
