Expedition Portal Fall Foliage Trip

Bomar, Daryl, Mike, and myself made the trek to the Ozarks this weekend to do some "overland" action with some guys from Expedition Portal. There was a total of 21 trucks out there on Saturday morning when everyone met up. The trip was fun...nice trails (Forest Service Roads), some low water crossings, and a lot of pretty scenery.

It was a good time; I took a bunch of pictures. Daryl, Bomar, Mike and myself agree that we need to get a CLC overland trip together sooner...rather than later. I think these pictures will motivate:

Sorry Chris - guess that wasn't very clear. I'm going to try to get back up there as soon as possible and try to learn a little more about the area. I understand that an important business mogul like yourself has commitments and would have trouble getting away so quickly and so often.

I'll post up my plans in case anyone else wants to go get lost with us...

putting some money in the bank is the only important commitment I have in the near future Boss Man.

It was a great trip. Only thing that would make it better is a CLC group. I have some of the routes on maps. When I was with the group we never ventured from any published forest service road. Those maps are all available on line or at any NFS office in the ozarks. I bought mine from the one in Russelville last year.

I think a winter trip would be cool. Like maybe one after a light snowfall.

I would like to participate in one of these trips but let me know ahead of time so I can plan this deal at work and Fam...to my misfortune don't have much left days of vacations for this year but may be next.

I am interested in doing one of these trips and yeap I am willing to do the trek up there.

I know the White Trash don't like me much but you guys at least treat me w/ respect!...and I am down with that!

I totally miss this chance, Darn it!

May be next year!
