Exide Orbital battery. 80 feels more....lively?

Don't make fun. I too was skeptical but interested enough to get over to Costco and put in a new beauty of an Exide bat. Man, was I surprised. Gas consumption around town increased from 13,5 to 17.0 and right out of the blue my wife says we could pull over into the WalMart parking lot and go makeout in the back!

No Kidding same thing just happened to me

Crazy thing with the battery happened to me as well. I was having EGR problems p0401 and replaced the valve (green with the blue), changed hoses and was still getting the error code every so often. I was also having problems with the security system and the existing battery just seem worn. Replaced with an Optima Blue Top Grey Body and just finished driving 600 miles with no sign of the error. Odd

Seriously this time, maybe disconnecting the battery for a while just gives the computer time to take a breather allowing it to reestablish the settings it likes best. I suggest that all of us who have good batteries just disconnect them tonight and reconnect them in the morning and then we can have a poll on whether we noticed any operating differences.

Mine has been disconnected for about week I have been working on sliders.I guess I will find out when I am done.
