I am shopping around - I need to do my downpipes and full cat-back system including high-flow cats for my 88 FJ62. Anyone had this done in Wichita? Does anyone have a mechanic they can recommend for the job?

Thanks
JT

If you wanted to do it yourself.....you could do what I did ony my 62 and my buddy did on his 81 GMC truck. CherryBomb Glasspacks :hillbilly:. Saves money too. Not sure if you want your Cruiser to be loud though.

Yeah - cherry packs. Might be a bit much! I am trying to keep it to a dull roar. I will give Expert Auto a call...thx!

if you want to come all the way to Paola i will do it
i started doing exhaust work in 1979 (yes i'm old)

Well, I have certainly driven farther for less. THAT of course, involved a woman.

Ex, CherryBombs will work on anything my friend. Since I put the two glasspacks on my 62 it turns quite a few heads now:grinpimp:

So does painting it pink and calling it "Mary K", but I am not sure its the responce most are looking for.

Diesel

:D IRoll, think my diesel will benefit from it?

you bet ya, once the exhaust gets about 800 degrees it will burn out all of the fiberglass and probably the case too

Haha yeah....CherryBombs, not everyones idea for a LandCruiser. Me on the other hand....wanted my Cruiser nice and loud:flipoff2:

I don't think I have heard of anyone using cherry bombs for... well, a really long time. It may have been my brother, on his Camaro, in 1985.

My wife's MPV needs a new cat, I posed the same question to the Wichita BMW club (former member). The unanimous response was American Muffler at 31st and Seneca. Supposedly the best place for any custom pipe-fitting, and cheap too. I'm yet to get the family truckster fixed, so I can't give any first hand feedback.
