Alan, get a TRD washable filter if you want to go that way. They have a greater filter area than the K&N.

thank you everyone for the advice/feedback.....Ciaren's doing my oil change this Monday....I want to ask him what he thinks....I'll mention the TRD Filter.....I do quite a bit of driving myself and I want to make sure that whatever filter I go for is best for my cruiser.

Discontinued just for Canadian LCs? I see US sites still selling them for their LCs and other vehicles.

Robert was trying to get one from Toyota, they told him that model was no longer available.

Unlike gasoline engines, the performance increase on diesels is low. It will sound better, but you are likely not going to notice much. I did the exhaust and threw in a K&N filter and with the two I noticed a minor change. Let me know what the Stainless is going to run.

Come on Mat...you know better then this: A larger exhaust can net HUGE gains for a diesel engine...unlike a gasser.
