I had a set of headers fitted too my 1pz 6 years ago and the gasket has putted out.....Any tricks too avoid snapping studs and wrecking stuff before i rip into it ? should i get the engine hot first ? Should i heat the nuts before trying too undo them ?
It has studs and what looks like locking type nuts .. The might be copper but im not sure .
Should i take it back and get the pros too do it , or try and then take it in when i stuff it up ?

Soak them with penetrating oil periodically for a couple of days before trying to loosen them.

I have had very good success using heat but to get them red hot can melt stuff nearby.
Do as AirheadNut suggests.
Do you have an impact wrench?

yea i do , but didnt want too use it untill i had asked here lol....gaskets are a week away so the more i can learn before hand the better ...thanks
