Exhaust leak fix ?

1982 FJ 60 ..... I had an exhaust leak on my manifold and a really bad one on the EGR . I decided to DeSmog when I changed the exhaust gaskets. Bottom line ....... the DeSmog came out good but I still have a exhaust leak. All new gaskets . Everything torqued to specs. Should I pull the manifolds and have them trued at a machine shop or can I just double the gaskets ??

I would have the manifolds planed/ trued up versus double gasket
did you re-torque several times after heat/cool cycles?

Hi, Take them off put a straight edge on them and see. No to two gaskets.

If you get the manifold machined flat, it won’t leak anymore. If you try the thicker gasket idea, it won’t leak for a little bit — but then will leak again.
Trying to fix a leaky manifold with thicker gaskets isn’t the answer.
