I do have some news::: bad news!

Currently building a 12HT in Aus and encountered the following findings:

Most if not all vendors in Aus supply the WRONG rings for the 12HT if you looking at oem Jap rings as TP or NPR brands.
TP catalog code 35856 for 2H/2H forklift
And 12HT 35886. Or NPR-2H code SDT10075ZX NPR-2H forklift code SDT10107ZZ insted of NPR 12HT SDT10112ZZ.
Photo attached of respective catalogs and amazingly the top compression ring is 0.05 off moreover made of regular material (usually cast iron) while the 12HT is Cr(chrome).
One must check every part of the engine and don’t trust vendors!!
I had an argument over this on QLD eBay store N*Power yet they sontinue running the misleading ad at:
NPR PISTON RING CHROME STD FOR TOYOTA 12H-T 4.0L TURBO Landcruiser HJ61 85-90 | eBay
Basically they’ll sell you a forklift ring into your 12HT (??!!)

Same problem at N*Power same problem at Precisionintl Toyota | Coaster HB31 | 12H Turbo Parts List - Precision International
The difference is at N*Power they were very arrogant and pinged me on eBay however Precisionintl they told me to make enquiries and fix it at their supplyer.
This can be a big issue as if the combustion chamber fails under pressure and the piston blows up they will not take responsibility over the failure of a forklift ring under the pressures of the turbo charged situation.

I was at the engine rebuilder today, and took this picture:

This piston came out of a running engine, that on top of this had one bent pushrod and a broken one!

I thought I would post this as an example on the weakness of the 12ht pistons, so people could see the actual problem and so it could be found when searching for the issue.
