Hi ...

I'm hoping to just get a feel for what the market will bear in terms of my current wheels/tires .

I have 5 stock alloy wheels for an FZJ80 (1997) . 4 of them have 315x75R16 BFG MT's mounted on them (8 months - 6K miles approx - 1 long trip , the rest short city commutes , only offroaded thrice on back roads in BC)

The wheels themselves lived most their lives in Houston , TX ... and the truck now has 90+K on it .

Note : This is not a classified ad , as yet . Just information gathering ...

TIA ,

TY

For informational purposes, I just spent 500 for 5 used, but good condition BFGs without rims.

I spent 40 for a set of Tundra steels.

I really don't know what the market is for stock alloys. eBay can be a pretty good souce for pricing the market sometimes.

Hopefully you could get out of the full set what you paid for just the tires. A big thing for me would be road hazzard...did you pay for it? is it transferable? I have been known to REALLY use this feature to the tune of a new set of tires. :D

On the other hand if your looking for a bit of charity work...FSIMIG would be all over you...FSIMIG at it again in the "Wanted Section"...."Give away tires"

What does FSIMIG mean? Something about a tard?

Ya...a tard named StuckinGA

FSIMIG is Beowulfs new name for him....Foot Stuck In Mouth In GA

Damn...y'all suck. Took my FSIMIG donation suggestion. :flipoff2:

FWIW, used 285s and 315s that I've seen recently run about 1/2 new price given the miles you have on there, so $500 seems about right.

OEM rims sold here would probably get you $200.

In the wild world of ebay, you could get twice that amount, at a minimum -- ebay shoppers are pretty stupid. Center caps, if sold on ebay would get you about 40 or 50 USD each -- at least that's what I've seen lately.

FYI- I paid about $65 ea for 5 taco wheels.

I'd guess maybe 600-750?

So...I gotta ask...

Why Ty?

Don't ask

I will definately be moving into 16x10 wheels when I get out of this wee hole . Whether I eventually replace the rubber with 36 , remains to be seen ...

Good input so far , thanx guys .

I think Ty's been lookin at Norwegian Cruisers.

Eh?

You're right ! The first time I sat down and looked into buying an 80 was 1994 . Then I saw what the guys in Iceland and Norway were doing and I was hooked . I will not emulate that because our functions differ , though I will try and balance a tall/fat look with rock crawling abilities unrivalled this side of Starbucks ™ ! :D

Hell , I'll give em to ya free and will guarantee that they'll NEVER rub . So long as you promise to drive in 180° integer multiples of forwards ... :flipoff2:

Keep me posted when ya sell them

I think one of ya is pullin my chain . :flipoff2:

Anyway if I do sell , the buyer pays for shipping , correct ? So what is the best method of shipping big ass tires and wheels ??
