Week 3 of life with my cruiser, love it.
So, when I purchased it, it had the check engine light, and we knew that it was error code P402. The previous owner had done some things to try to resolve it, but none worked yet. I've got plans to try the vacuum line clean out in the next week or two.
I noticed this though, and was curious if anyone experienced something similar, or can explain it.
If I clear the P402 error, it clears fine, and reoccurs again. BUT, when I clear it, my gas mileage goes from the 13/15 to around 10/12.
If I don't clear it, mileage goes right back to 13/15.
Obviously, I am not going to clear it until I think its resolved.
Any ideas why this would happen?
Tim
