That's crazy. Interference around timing chain maybe? Not sure, sounds crank speed not cam speed.

It really doesn't sound like a problem that is catastrophic, kind of like the playing cards in the bike spokes when we were kids. Made me think like timing chain ramps or something like that

The power steering gear can make some serious noise too. I bet it will be relatively simple when you find it

Also consider flywheel ring interference

I got no sound outta the vid for some reason... But. I had a nasty whine on mine, and it turned out to be the ac tensioner pulley bearing,

Found it! Turns out it was the alternator. I decided it had to be the PS so I started tearing it all apart. While I was there I pulled the alternator to get to the PS pump. When I spun the alternator it made a weird noise which made me wonder if it was any good. I have a spare from the first engine so I took them both in to have them tested. Sure enough when they put it on the tester it made all kinds of noise. Not to mention it was totally bad. The other one checked out with flying colors so I went back and reinstalled the PS and the alternator. Noise gone...sort of. Now I've got all kinds of whining from the PS and leaking. My return hoses are trashed so I need to get in there and replace a bunch of stuff while I'm there.

So that's the good news. The bad news is the foamy oil I found on the inner side of the pump. See pics.
