My 4runner stalls when braking, but only after the engine is warm. The brakes work fine though. I checked and the vacuum hoses are correct. I will test my booster tomorrow, but if it was the booster, why wouldn't this occur when it was cold?

The other interesting thing is that when it is about the stall, and I press the accelerator, there is a "CLICK" that happens behind my glove box. I traced this to the blower fan. It doesnt happen all the time, but most.

The click is probably a relay closing.
Assuming when the truck's about to stall, the voltage has dropped from lower revs, and the harness is reacting accordingly.

As for the stalling, does this happen every time?

I was thinking that too regarding the relay. It stalls 80-90% of the time when coming to a stop. My wife drives it too and she has complained, so I have to get it fixed :)

Is this the 86?

May just need a good throttle body cleaning if it hasn't had one in a while.

Possibly an idle air control motor dirty?
