When rebuilding the 1FZ how do you deal with the crankshaft ends?
I have replaced my rear main and there was a good grove from the seal. I moved the seal back a bit so there will be 2 groves on the crank end.
I assume it will be the same problem with the front main seal?
If I make it to 300,000,400,000,500,000 mi, will the head and block be worth rebuilding?

Would one be better off finding a used motor, with lower miles, from a junked 80 and rebuild it?
I like the $2500 Trundra V8 better.
 
No groove on the front of the crank at 146k miles on mine. You could try touching it up with sand paper or get a speedi sleeve.
