Hey guys, just replaced a head gasket on the old girl and now running into some issues. Idles fine but as soon as you blip the throttle its as if its "braking under load" my mechanic dad said. We have replaced the following spark, leads, cap and rotar, fuel filter and ignition coil. Car only likes either idle or full throttle. just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix? can send video later tommorrow

Check your timing

Timing is fine we timed it to the best we could with a timing gun
Did you have the diagnostic port jumped? I'd also check for vacuum leaks

Did a smoke test got one leak the top upper hose a really thin one that goes over the manifold and the throttle shaft was leaking😬😬 curious on how to do the jump thing with the wire at the diagnostic seeing as mines the old obd port being a 95 model, and how many blinks corresponds to what engine fault

The FSM - Factory Service Manual. There are available in the "Resources" section of this forum. These are mostly for North American models but I would assume the TPS adjustment procedure would be the same for a Oz model.
Alr I'll give it a look thanks mate 👍
