End of 2009 Road trip

Well the trip was epic, me, my wife, 2 kids 2 dogs, 3100 miles and 9 days. We left the morning of the 26th. Night 1 was in Red Cliff BLM campground near St. George, UT. Nights 2 and 3 dispersed camping in Mojave Preserve. Night 4 San Simeon State park on the coast. $35/night ouch. Night 5 State Park near Pt. Reyes national seashore. Nights 6 and 7 in NorCal visiting friends. Night 8 Salina, UT Roadway Inn via Rt 50, then home.

If you get the chance the Mojave Road is pretty cool. Not technical but great desert exploring, we'll likely go back. A Google search will get you a lot more information than I can post.

Sounds awesome - I'd love to do a similar trip with JUST my wife - leaving the 4 kids at home with my grandma and grandpa. What an adventure!

I have a 96 Fzj80, a 1967 M416, and a SpringBar Colossus. Cool stuff. Great pics. Good times.

Very cool trip Leon. All of my trips to the Mojave have been with a uniform on. I would love to do a trip similar to the one you did someyear.

That is a very cool trip, I need to start saving money for things like that instead of replacing broken parts all the time.
