ELM327 problems

I'm also looking forward to a FAQ on using the cheap ELM327. I get mine to connect about 1 out of 10 attempts. '95 Land Cruiser. S4 phone running Torque.

I did some reading after i got one of the cheap blue tooth adapters, i found that the Iso was not supported by the one i picked up. It worked on everything else, and autozone could scan my rig. just not the bluetooth one.

If there is a fix for this id love to know about it.

Bmac, I have the exact same unit. As I said, it works fine on my '95. I have a Nexus 5 for what it worth.

Been trying to research elm 327 myself. I want to run torque pro, but have seen a lot of issues with different blue tooth adapters. I have a 95 fzj80 and a S3 phone, any suggestions? Thanks

I have a similar problem now afer it worked fine for years. Ordered a new one and same thing. Lights go through cycle then only the red remains lit. Is the port on the dash clogged?

Me too, my elm327 works on all 4 vehicles in my drive way except for my 96 LC. NAPA borrowed unit works just fine. Looking forward to the FAQ write up.

It has worked on every thing I have tried except a BMW.

I did have an issue with not connecting to the tablet at first, but the tech support guy was very helpful.

Just got it in the other day, so far good results with the 2.1 version. Im happy with it. Works on my 96!
