This is a Carribean Costa Rica bj and the harness is a diff color. Any help

Ron, I printed a large colored layout of a 78's wiring here at work. I'm not sure if it's the same as your BJ, but I could send it to you if you think it would help.

Toyota used the same wiring colors throughout the world. You may have wires in your harness that don't exist in say a US model, but the other wires that are in common will have the same colors. Any chance you can post a pic of say the head light connector wires? There should be three wires, White/Black (Ground) Red/Green (low beam) and Red/Yellow (Hi Beam) If you wires are different you either don't have an OEM harness or you have something that a previous owner re-wired using non OEM colors.

You BJ40 diesel will of course have a lot of wiring that gas powered FJ40's will not (especially if it's 24V) and won't have a lot of wiring like the ignition wiring that the FJ40 will have. Pics would help a lot.

Mark, the wiring is the same, it's great, I can follow some ( the stuff that hasn't been hacked) of the wires and start to figure out why things aren't working. I printed them and am livin' large. Thanks so much, Ron
