Well then, this was supposed to have posted on saturday, but I don't see it so here it is again:

Hi Mudgods,

Looking for PHOTOS of oem grommeted electrical access points in the rear cargo area of my uzj100.

Reason: want to run loomed large dia power line from engine bay, under the rig, and up through the floor pan of the cargo area to solar generator (glorrified 12v battery) for charging purposes. Don't want to do any drillling and coursery web search shows no love.

thanks in advance:santa:

Not grommets, but plugged holes you can swap for a grommet.

It's been a while, but I ran mine down the driver side frame rail and then up into the cabin through the rear portion of the body (behind the rear fender well); I did not drill a hole so I must have used an existing hole, I will try to get under there today and see if I can spot it for you. I have USB-C plugs where the third row cupholder used to be and I remember running the wire straight up from the framerail into the cabin behind it (to the right of the subwoofer if you're facing the driver side of the truck from the cargo area).

i did this for my fridge in the back, i ran 12 gauge wire directly from my battery terminal distribution block under the hood (with a fuse) under the carpet and hidden in the door sills all the way back to the hatch area. Takes a bit of time, but the wiring is completely hidden

Ok, I think i have a strategy.

I located a cargo plug (see attached photos)

Using MALLEUS provided parts diagram (above), I identified it as p/n 58136 (circled in red in the "cargo access points" pdf, attached) as well as visualized on the other pdf attachements.

does anyone know what firewall rubber grommet will fit that space?

thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what size that one specifically is, but if it's the same as the one in the driver side foot well, near the dead pedal, then it's 1.25"/32mm.

There's a plastic plug in the DS lower quarter panel. It might be a better location since it will allow the cable to come from behind the interior trim. You can even install a grommet into the plastic plug if you don't want to drill into sheet metal.
