how does ebach compares to King or Fox?

my gardener likes eibach.... he has them on his toyota truk low rider......
I can tell you're being a little facetious but Eibach actually makes the springs for a lot of the race truck shock brands. They've also been the making shocks for companies like Toytec for a long time. While they are relatively new to making their own branded shocks they've been working with "truck" brands for a while.

Eibach has been making racing shocks for decades. I had them on a bmw track car back in the nineties, and I don't think they were new even then.

I'm going to bump this thread up again to see if anyone else has any feed back on how the Eibach kit has been

Agreed 👍 I'm getting tired waiting on bilsteins
I’ve wheeled pretty hard with them, I like them very much, my only qualms with them is there isn’t heavy springs for the front I added a Ironman front bumper and tried getting heavier springs but they didn’t have them.

Thanks for the update, I have no bumpers or any other major sources of constant weight so it seems like these would be a good fit for a basically stock LC config

I've got the same circumstances. I just want to stop the nose dive and lessen some of the body roll so I'll give these a shot! Thanks brethren!!

Definitely way better then stock and at the price point you can’t beat. Quality is definitely there. I ran OME before but they were a little rough for me but also good.

Are the Eibach shocks mono-tubes?

Hmmm, i have stock suspension. With this kit, i can install and just replace the stock springs and shocks, right? No need for aftermarket bushings or UCA etc?

Yes correct they are mono, I ran my stock UCA with my OME ran fine just a little squirrelly, once I got my UCA rode better IMHO but didn’t have to get the UCA

@War330 How much did the Ironman front bumper drop your truck with these Eibach springs?

These brands have made themselves reputations in different arenas. So from application to application, it may be still be possible to distinguish.
Kings are for race. Fox is in the spectrum of race to aggressive enthusiast use. Eibach is squarely a street brand.

That doesn't mean one is necessarily better than the other. Each has made concessions and design trades to optimize for application and use case. So using a race shock on the street is not optimal, just like a street shock for race would not be optimal.

As much as enthusiasts like to lean towards race parts, IMO they may be better served with street oriented parts.
Eibach is far from only a street brand company. While they are a major supplier to the world’s automotive manufacturing industry for springs, dampers and sway bars, They are a leading suspension developer for NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One ,sports car racing, off-road and the consumer market. They make King, Fox And others seem like kitchen table brands.

Sure.

You're not going to get any of those things in their consumer market suspension.

Didn’t measure but it was lower then the OME I just put the OEM spacers on the front to raise a bit more.
Do you remember how much lift this kit gave you before the ironman front bar? Eibach advertises 1.7" front and 1.0" rear, but I haven't seen anywhere that specified which spring perch they used up front

Sorry I didn’t I had a OME lift first it was lower then that so I had put spacers on to get more lift.

How does this kit compare to a basic OME Kit with 2702 front and 2722 rear springs? Can you use OME or SPC UPAs with the Eibach Kit?

I am late comer to this thread, but not to the Eibach suspension. Actually, Michael at Eibach used my 2018 LC as the research vehicle back in 2019 to develop the suspension kit. They basically took the OEM suspension off, measured everything about the springs and shocks (dyno, etc) and developed their suspension leveling kit (new rear coils, rear shocks and front struts). They wanted to kit to use the OEM UCAs.
They said the OEM springs were 500 lbs/in front and 200 lbs/in rear. Their front spring rate is 550 lbs/in and the rear spring rate is 250 lbs/in. After the install the front got 1.75” of lift and the rear got 1” of lift. With this, it is level front to back and side to side (no KDSS Lean).
This is a great setup if you are running most stock, but probably a bit light if you are putting after market bumpers and other heavy mods/accessories that will increase vehicle weight. I wound up adding airbags to stiffen up the rear when I tow a trailer and that works great for me.
I have been very happy with it. I think they really got the shock dynamics right - a big improvement over OEM. Much more stable when driving fast on dirt (dips and wash board) roads, and very comfortable on pavement at highway speeds. Plus no more nose dive when breaking.
And yes, I got a factory tour as well (It was awesome).

Cannot speak specifically to the set designed for this platform, but used Eibach suspension on 4 of my vehicles over the past 20 some years and have always been satisfied with their build quality and performance.

Oh wow cool thanks for the info! Sounds like a really good option. I've always had really good luck with OME suspension. I've had it on a few of my Tundras. I still may go that route. I don't plan on doing bumpers. I'd like to do sliders and probably a drawer system at some point. Planning on running 275/70/18's or 285/65/18's. What size tires are you running? How long have you been running the Eibach kit? Any issues? Do you have any photos of your setup?
