Thank you for posting the pictures. . I wanted to put in some hints for the installation. If the top is too tight or not tight enough at places, after installing the bows, you can adjust the side bows at both ends. See in the picture below. The hole for the bolt is not circular but elongated. This is to leave room for adjustments. Please, anyone and everyone, let me know if you have any querries with the installations here in the thread. I will try to answer it as soon as I read it. If I cant then I will get our expert fab-man to comment on the issue.
Thank you
Ehsan

Rodney, what are you doing about the grommets in the top? Got a source and a tool? Maybe we could set up a tool-pass-around, where each person buys the die from the guy before (only when they are absolutely ready to hang the top and they have the turnbuckles on the tub)...it could even go to the next group when we are done?

Just an idea...

Quick question for those who got the wrong color top. I have a friend here in GA that might be interested in getting the top from you for what every you have in it. Please pm me with what you paid for the top and the shipping/customs costs and I'll let him know. If Ehsan is sending you another top I will wire the money to him with my shipping payment for my order.

Thanks all.

Also if anyone is interested I have a fj45 tailgate that Ehsan sent over last year for sale (never opened) and a split windshield for a fj40 or 45 (no glass or rubber but could be made).
Please let me know if you are interested.

I'm not sure I follow? Grommet for what? The bimini top uses velcro around the tube frame.

Chris, do you still have any OEM turnbuckels? If so I would like to buy what is needed for one top. Also is there a source for another tool.

Thanks,
Vince

Half Door Alignment

Has anyone tried fitting their half doors? I'm having some serious alignment issues. Basically the hook latch on the body cannot go low enough for the catch on the door to grab it. I have to force it up and over the hook latch to get it to shut. But then I cannot open the door due to the bind. I tried several different angles and positions for the adjustment on the tub. No matter what it is too high.

I have moved the door around on the hinges with no luck. I even tried moving the latch on the door with no luck. Here are some pics.

Eshan what year is the tub you used to test fit these doors?

You can see the door angles up on the righthand side. It does this to get up on the latch.

This is as low as the hook/catch can go

It barely fits on the catch here..

It hits the catch/hook here..

I have messed with this for 3 hours and decided to see if I can get any other input.
