I have an FJ that was previously fitted with an AFI fuel injection system. Previous owner had utilized the stock filter housing, fitting a galvanized funnel to make the transition. I just finished the power steering and will need to relocate the air filter due to the power steering pump. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I used the iron pig power steering. FJ60 box on the frame, pump is mounted high on the drivers side, alternator on passenger. AFI uses what I am told is the standard GM housing for the EFI. I have seen photos of filter housing going right over the to of the engine, with a conical filter at the end.

I use a Saginaw (GM) pump and used a modified air pump bracket. It is mounted low on the drivers side providing lots of clearance for the stock air cleaner.

There is always the choice like on ebay #254647872376, only 6 3/8" diameter so doesn't hit the brake master cylinder, plus you can always add a 4" tall K&N filter element- - -easy deal.
