Factory non-USA canister for 2f with carb connected to snorkel. Just bolt it in.

You can find them, maybe SOR or AUS.

Canisters are easy, the carb adapter is harder to find. I kept the canister when I did my diesel swap and sold the carb adapter for $35.

The canister can come from most diesels and found on BJ's and HJ's from Canada in the part out section for a reasonable cost. I have seen $50 here on Mud! Then make a carb adapter?

Check with SOR for whole set up, or maybe AUS, as it would not be too costly to ship the parts.

If your handy with a welder you can modify your old canister air cleaner to adapt to a diesel air cleaner. This is very helpful if you need/want to keep your emissions equipment.

Good luck.

Nice out-of-box thinking.

An FJ62 air cleaner box will be a direct fit into an FJ60 and those are easier to find in the US as well.

Carb hat--tough to find, expensive these days. I had one and sold it for IIRC, $150.

Adventure... any chance you have a write-up on how you built that?

Greg-

Sorry, but I don't have a specific build for this since it was part of my overall build.
I'm on an IPad right now and I can't seem to figure out how to attach a link, so if you do a search in the 60 section under "britklr" you'll see the "Summer Beautification-ARB Style" thread. Look beyond post # 83 and it has a few more pictures and contact information for where I purchased the air cleaner. Also, feel free to email me at: adventuretoolcompany@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

Good luck!

Sweet thanks Paul. I will have to take a look at this as I think it cleans up the engine compartment nicely and would be awesome if I could find an FJ62 cleaner as I eventually want to do a 2FE build.

The Stock Air Cleaner is superior to a weber-type (I think Downey made some, but you'll have to find it used). Stock offers cold-air intake. Weber is sucking in very hot underhood temps. Cold air is denser. Denser air is better.
