I strongly recommend reading through the workshop manual a few times before doing the job. I reckon that 'mentally' going through the rebuild process first helps.
I find that the 'exploded parts' diagrams can help to make sure that you know where everything goes so that you don't leave anything out (or put it in the wrong place).
Also, make sure that you have all the right tools, parts, grease, oils, workshop manuals (or info print-outs), cleaning rags, etc, near you when you start the job because it's a nuisance having to search for stuff while you're working.

That will help to make the job less painfull. Someone with you that has already done the job (or at least, a similar job) will be a great help, too.

Reading thru this several times.. you guys say to "clean" the parts when you take em out..

Are you just wiping them off with the rags or are you "cleaing" them with an oil or solvent.

I know they'll be oily and messy.. whatever.. but what do you mean by clean..?

Looks like you got all you need right there in the link!

Awesome.. thanks

I've been reading my FSM.. the diagrams.. reading thru different procedures I found... about to buy a couple of tools online like the torque wrench and the brass drift...and the 54mm hub socket..I'll be ready soon.
