I’m the owner of a 2019 200 series here in Southern VA. When we lived out in the Colorado area there were gone good shops for lifts and bumpers. Now that I we are on the East Coast, I am looking for who is seen as the best LC specialist to put a lift and bumpers on. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Asheville Vehicle Outfitters. Eric is a good dude and his tech iscomfortable working with various configurations on all Toyotas. He’s done work on my 100 and 200 when he ran Mainline Overland’s shop up in NH.

When i lived in NY i had good luck with Southeast Overland for a few things
Its hard to find a good shop , I was a west coast guy and owned a 4x4 shop moved back east also took a office job and just started recollecting toys .
After owning a 4x4 offroad shop its really hard to trust anyone to work on my machines and besides enjoying tinkering aspect .
Totally different terrain on the eastcoast compared to living out west . everything out here is loose rock , coal , mud and sand .
Building vehicles is different and a lot harder to find good custom offraod shops IMO .

Being in Virginia, I would go to Iron Pig Off Road (Lance is awesome) or OTRAMM (they go way back as friends Bud)
If you went further away you have Trollhole (love those guys) in SC, I’m in NC at BudBuilt, there is AVO about an hour from us in NC also. Eric is a good guy, and we are now partnered so they sell our armor almost exclusively. Eric hired a new guy Bobby, and when I met him, I really picked him apart to find his skill level and his philosophy on how to build, I was very happy to know there is another good shop out there because Bobby is the guy who does the work. Then you have ACC in Atlanta, ACC is phenomenal and I was down their again a month ago working on a project together.
That’s the core shops that are around the East Coast. I work with them all pretty regularly, and have seen their work, over and over and over, and those shops consistently do really good. I’m obviously biased that I have a more intimate knowledge of the 200 itself over them (as I own and wheel a 200), but I’m further away from you than Iron Pig.
There was one shop mentioned in this thread that I’m not impressed with, and sadly, I’ve fixed seven (seven!) of their jobs last year. There is also a shop east of us that I would stay clear off.

Agreed. I’ve lived across the country and shops seem to be more knowledgeable and prevalent in some places over others. I appreciate the input.

Thanks for the comments. I’m not to far from Iron Pig being down here in Richmond. I am only 50 or so miles from the NC line, so that’s always an option. I will take a look at all. Right now I am wanting to get the lift and bumpers done. Maybe the dual battery and on board air will take place at the same time too.
