Dunkane is it the crossover engine? the f.5?

if your looking for a good engine the f.5's are the most durable...basicly an F engine with the oiling of the 2f engine.

or is it like the earlyer F and has the external oil filter on the manifold side of the engine?

i'll make a picture of the engine, but it's engine from a 1973/1974 fj40...
 
Yes, you can easily keep the engine you have in your '64. Actually, with a little work, you can make it "look" like the F135 by changing the valve cover, and possibly fabricating an oil fill with the side cover ;)

Send us pictures of that engine :)

hummm yes good idea !!!, a F155 which look like a old F135 (or 125)...pretty good idea !
so who have a cover and a oil filler !?? :)
 
there are 2 covers for sale in the 25 classifides section right now AFAIK they are still there :)

Stashed in an undisclosed underground fallout bunker. I think there are at least 3 in the US since this one first came in.

arrfff f, shesmad find me a wire harness and a gauge for my rig...but paypal is no more ok with the buy of the fj40....toooooo much money i gave this month !! ...landcruiser addiction is a terrible drug !

hard top tail light fj40 1964 - question

hello everybody !
is someone could give me the information about this picture, because i can see 2 tail light on the hard top..in the beginning i was thinking it was non oem, but i've somes also on mine, but just the attach of those...they no more exist.

definatly not an oem thing....i have seen a few like that also...mainly because the brackets on the frame ends get smashed wheeling a few times :)

yes but it's strange, because i've exactly the sames bracket on mine, in the same position....

yes i do it myself, it's a little bit long to restaure myself this landcruiser , because i had a car accident (plasma rope accident) and now i've been 4 fingers amputed...but i can still drive my landcruiser !!!! :)
