There is an old thread here that did a before and after dyno. I’ll let you find it 😂 The factory log manifolds are very restrictive, they are designed primarily for durability, ease of manufacture and cost. Theoretically the engine will become more efficient and therefore fuel mileage will improve. But don’t expect miracles.
I don't buy the durability part. The cost and ease of manufacture I do get. I imagine the headers would help, and some long tubes even more.

If you replace the stock exhaust with a better flowing setup, you will see very noticeable power gains with DT headers. I'd say it was about 30hp on my wife's hundred going from stock to DT headers, dual 2.25" with single high flow cats into a 3" magnaflow and a 3" resonator. Very noticeable and gained a lot of low end. Before I could not pull the 5% hill into town without either downshifting or losing 5mph, after I could pull it in overdrive and gain 1mph. Her truck gets 16.5mpg at 70mph on the highway with 4 people and weekend gear in it - between flagstaff and purgatory in the winter time. It averages about 12 running around town. Thats on 34's and a 2.5" lift, 4.3 gears.

I have installed a few sets of these, install usually runs $800-1000 done hourly. After they are installed, the collector needs to be cut off and rewelded, as the collector is never at the right angle. If you don't do that, they will eventually crack from the stress. Do yourself a huge favor and do the whole exhaust at once, and don't use a magnaflow muffler unless you love drone. The resonator made this truck much better, but its still a little louder than I would like in the cab. Outside it sounds great, not very loud and a great tone.

I did DTs on my 4.7 Sequoia. Took me about 6hrs for each side. Almost all the Studs backed out of the block so account for new hardware. I think they cracked/failed as I have a tick again. I’ll just live with it.

So assume 12hrs labor max.

I paired DTs with a Bosal exhaust, it is slightly larger than OEM so I will admit that it is not as winded going through mountain passes like it was on all stock setup. Armour, M/Ts and bumpers (rear with a spare) made gained HPs feel bissimal. Tick was gone so I did not care nor was disappointed in the money I spent. 4.88s and Pedal Commander made a profound difference in Bertha's pick up off the line and low end grunt.

Gears make a big difference on these, especially in the 4 speed trucks. I was on the fence about putting 10% underdrive high range gears in the tcase on this one, but after it was done the added power was enough to compensate for the tires and bumpers so I left it as is.

If you used the gaskets that came with them, that’s probably the tick. I always get a bit out of the bolts after a few heat cycles as well. If they are cracked, it’s probably because of the flange angle not exactly matching up. That’s definitely a contributing factor to cracking on OEM or aftermarket manifolds, I have never seen one that lines up properly

Can’t remember if I used the gaskets that came with the set or bought OEM as I did the swap 5-6 years ago. I’m assuming I used the gaskets that came with the headers as I’m cheap sometimes but I did spray the gaskets with copper spray sealant. I do remember the header flanges not sitting that flush/flat to the block. Regardless, the Tick is not that loud and goes away when I turn on the radio 🫢
