Hi All,
I will be driving to my second Cruiser Moab event.

Last year I was on a CB, and besides listing to Canadian tracker in French, had no one to talk to :-(

Driving Schedule
Thursday - starting after hour on 40M (I-90 and I-80)
Friday - 20M most of the day as I am traveling west. (I-80)
Sat might be on 40 to catch regional contacts. (I-76 and I-70)

You can see me here as I drive by your area.

I will be on VHF 146.460 simplex pretty much all the time.
During day time I will be on HF 20M 14.342 or 14.343
During night I will be on HF 40M 7.188

Hope to make many Landcruiser contacts.

Send this guy an email. He maintains a free listing of repeaters along major interstates in the US for truckers. List isn't available on the site. He sends you an email back with the listings and instructions.

Let him know your route. You'll have to program them into your radio yourself. I've got I-70 at home if you send me a PM with your email. He's got a gap in Western Colorado tho. 2 meter only. He lists the town nearby, the repeater frequency and PL tone if needed and a name of the repeater. He also lists S, M, and W for strong, medium or weak signal from the freeway too.

No affiliation at all, yada, yada, yada...

APRS is cool, I have it in my trucks too. You'll be well north of me, but if I remember I will check your location on the interwebs. Have a good trip.

I'm leaving from the other coast, Vancouver, BC on the 27th and normally monitor 7.268.5 kHz during the day and 3.729 kHz and 3.716 kHz at night, but will try you on 20 and 40 after I get to the other side of the rockies. My APRS will also be on and I will be monitoring 146.460 or 146.420 most of the time.
