I'm trying to get my driveline in phase due to vibration and cant find any markings to align the slip yolk properly. I seem to remember when I did this to a previous fj40 years ago that there were markings, but despite an hour of cleaning and scraping off 30 year old gunk I can't find anything. Haynes manual says to line up an arrow on the larger half of th propeller shaft with the grease fitting on the smaller half but I have no arrow either.

Can anyone tell me where these markings are?

Look for this... :D

wow did you just take that pic and post it in those two minutes because I searched an couldn't find anything like that!
Thanks, this board is awesome!

I have about 8.5 gigs of Cruiser porn in my archives from my on going restovication. :D

I am waiting for a conference call to start, I saw your post, and just happened to have my drawing progam open!... :grinpimp:

Just found it. There is one small line of that arrow left... the rest has been erased by time. I wish my driveshaft looked as good as yours. Thanks again!

It can look that good easily. :D

Visit my web site and look at the de-rust section. After I de-greased the shaft in the parts cleaner tank, I de-rusted it to remove the rust then just a 3 minute going over with a wire wheel. I'll be painting the shafts this weekend...

Howdy,The PO lost the yoke so i bought a used one and just looked at it, the arrow and the gease fitting don't line up just right is that a problem? is it a problem?Kyle
