A little background on my 4runner: I did my sas (allpro kit) and have been driving around without a front driveshaft because I was going to do dual cases and wanted to wait to do the driveshaft until i had to do both of them.
Well I got my dual cases in and got my driveshafts fixed and now my front shaft binds. The rear is just fine. The front has a long spline kit installed. When I ordered the spline kit I was told that using the stock front portion of the driveshaft would be just fine with dual cases and not bind. If I had a couple more degrees I would be ok I think.
Is there any way to clearance the cv portion of the shaft? I kind of don't think it is possible because of the design of it. I know that putting shims in the front axle is a bad idea, but would a 3 degree shim make a big difference? I have high steer and I am thinking that if I use a shim that the tie rod would rub the springs.

Thanks for letting me know it was in the faq. I looked there before but didn't notice it. So a stock driveshaft out of any solid axle truck will work the same as this one if I clearance it? I am just thinking that I may go to the junk yard and get a stock shaft from a solid axle truck because mine cracked when installing the new ujoints. It was probably already cracked because I didn't put much pressure on it when I noticed a small gap in the yoke.
